On the Road (Punta Sal)
So, Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady got on the road back to the East they had come from once upon a time. About seventy years after i read the book; and it just so happened i was feeling the beat.
Sometimes the beat takes me far, far away. And i want to quit everything back here and start a life where i don't have to worry about any kind of past. It feels like if i try hard enough, i will forget; i'll start again, anew, alone, away. There will be no regrets because there were no choices; a clean, virginal slate.
But then again the it calls me back again; and in a song i remember what i know won't come back but i can't help but missing. So i close my eyes, and shut the door. I sing along to the music, and within my song there hides a scream. Within my screams there hides a cry. But i sing to keep it shut.
Hello. How are you?
